Homemade Falooda Sev

I am not sure where to buy falooda sev here in singapore. And i dont have enough time to search shops in Little India because most of the time I spend in shopping in city square mall and mustafa :-)

and by the time I reach vegetable shops in Little India, the time will be nearly 9 pm. So I thought of making this at home so that it will be helpful for people like me :-)

Ingredients

Corn starch or corn flour - 1/4 cup
Water - 150 ml
Sugar - 2 tsp
Murukku maker with small hole plate
Bowl full of cold water with 15-20 ice cubes.

Method

Add Ice cubes into cold water.

Grease some oil inside murukku maker and keep it ready.
In a mixing bowl, add cornflour, sugar and water and mix to make lump free batter.

Transfer into non-stick pan over stove at low flame.

Keep stirring till mixture get thickened. It will become glossy and transculent.

Switch off the flame and transfer mixture into murukku maker.

Drop them into ice cold water. Freeze in for 15 more minutes and use in Falooda.

Stay tuned for Falooda recipe from Deeps Kitchen.

You could also store in refrigerator for 3-4 days for later use.

Notes

Corn flour didnt work out for me. So I used corn starch.

Drop corn flour mixture into ice cold water while it is hot otherwise it will thickened and you will not be able to do.

If you want to make more , double the quantity of ingredients. Also use big bowl to drop in sev [ into cold water ]
