Veg Spring roll

Veg spring roll is a famous Indo-Chinese fritters In which varities of vegetables are tossed with sauces and rolled inside thin pastry and fried in Oil with crispy golden brown texture. Great to enjoy as evening snack and kids love to eat this as well

Spring roll pastry -  3 sheets

For stuffing

Cabbage  - 1 cup
Carrot – ½ cup
Capsicum – ½
Onion – 1

Cut all these ingredients into thin and lengthwise.
Coriander leaves – 1 tsbp chopped
Garlic – 2 gloves chopped
Garam masala powder – 1 tsp [optional.
Chilli sauce – 1 tbsp
Soy sauce – 1 tsp
Oil for frying spring roll = ½ litre [500 ml]
Olive oil –  1tbsp [To saute veggies]
Sauces can be adjusted according to your taste buds
Salt to taste


Defroze your spring roll pastry by keeping it outside for 40 minutes.To make process faster you could wrap them with wet towel also.

Place a pan on your stove and add ovile oil. Once it is hot , add garlic and saute for 2 minutes till they are golden brown

Add garam masala powder to it and mix it well. Reduce flame to medium to avoid burning of masala powder.

Add all shredded veggies and onion into it. Mix them all well combined.

Add soy and chilli sauce . Give it a nice stir to mingle all ingredients well.

Finally add salt to your taste, transfer them into plate.

Add in your chopped coriander leaves and your stuffing is ready.

Now take out single sheet from your spring roll pastry carefully and place it over a plate.

Note: you need to be very careful while taking out spring roll sheets . It better to watch the video for good understaning.

Keep the sheet in diamond shape facing you .and palce three spoon ful of stuffing on it. Now roll it till your reach the centre.

Once you reached centre, flip both edges inside and roll it again till end.

If it is not sticking at end, make paste with all purpose flour and water, apply them at end and it will stick well.

After you are done rolling all, Place kadhai on your stove and add oil.
Once it is medium hot, start frying your  rolled spring rolls both sides for 1 to 2 minutes till they turns into nice crisp and golden brown.

Strain them from oil and transfer it to paper towel to absorb excess oil.
Serve it with sauce of your choice and enjoy with your family.
