MASALA CHAI or Indian Masala Tea.


Every one loves to have some thing  Spicy and Crispy along with hot beverage to soothe themselves for this cold weather. So enjoy and to spice up your taste buds, We are going to see a lot of interesting delicious Indian snack varities along with hot beverage for this chill climate. 



To begin, Today, in DeepsKitchen we are going to see very famous Indian hot drink that is Masala Chai or Masala tea.

I am basically coffee lover and got introduced to this masala chai when I went to India 6 month before for my brother’s marriage and my Aunty [ my mom’s brother wife] Prepared this.

 From then,  onwards I have become great fan for this Tea and I am started to make every weekend. I hope you guys also will definitely enjoy this recipe.

Ingredients
Milk – ¾ cup
Water -1/2 cup
Tea powder – 2 tsp
Sugar – 2 tbsp
Ginger – 1 inch
Cardamom – 2
Cinnamon – small piece

Method

Place sauce pan on your stove, add water.
While it is getting to boil, using mortar pestle, crush  ginger and cardamom.
Add it to the boiling water along with tea powder and cinnamon.
Allow to boil for 3 minutes in medium flame. Now add milk and sugar and boil for another 2-3 minutes in medium falme.
Now you may notice that your milk has changed into dark colour.




Transfer into bowl. Make sure to use strainer to filter tea powder and other ingredients.




Now take two glasses and strat frothing the Tea for 5-6 times till you see good amount of froth forms on its top. While frothing make sure you are keeping distance of about 1 feet and you Tea is hot as well to get better froth.

Now serve this Perfectly frothed tea with your favorite snack like bajji, bonda , pakora, grilled corn or spicy peanut.
