Special Curd rice or yogurt rice
Special curd rice or yogurt rice or dahi rice is a delicious lunch or dinner recipe in which yogurt mixed with cooked rice and seasoned in Indian style and garnished with carrot,pomegranate,cashew nuts to make it even more special and rich.

Ingredients
Cooked
rice -
1 cup ( coarsely mashed)
Water - ¼ cup
Milk – ¼ cup
Yogurt – 1/2
cup
Salt to
taste
For seasoning
Oil – 1 tbsp
Mustard
seeds – ½ tsp
Channa dal –
½ tsp
Curry leaves
– 2 springs
Rec chilli –
1
Ginger – ½ tsp
(finely chopped)
For garnishing
Carrot – 1 tbsp
Cashew nuts –
12 ( roasted in ghee)
Coriander
leaves - 1 tbsp (finely chopped)
Pomegranate
seeds - 1 tbsp
Method
Add yogurt, milk
and water to cooked rice, mix them well and add salt to your taste.
Now place
pan on the stove and add oil. Once it is hot add mustard seeds.
Once it is
splutter, add channa dal,ginger and saute them till they turns golden brown.
Then add
curry leaves and red chilli and fry them well and add this seasoning items into
rice mixture and mix them well.
Now its time
for garnishing.
So start
adding carrot,coriander leaves,cashew nuts,and pomegranate seeds once after another
to the yogurt rice.
Now
delicious yogurt rice is ready to serve your special loved one.
You can
prepare like this for your kids as lunch and surprise your guests with this
colourful yummy dish.
Its healthy
and nutritious as well.
