Mango Sago Pudding [மாம்பழ ஜவ்வரிசி பாயாசம் ]



Mango Sago pudding or payasam is a mixture of milk,sago and mango cooked together and flavoured with saffron and dry nuts to serve as dessert. Can be prepared for any special occasion to delight your guests. Try and share your feed back.

Ingredients

Mango puree 
3/4 cup
மாம்பழ கூழ்
Condensed milk 
1/2 cup 
சுருங்கிய பால்
Sugar 
Add as per your need
சர்க்கரை
Sago 
1/2 cup 
ஜவ்வரிசி
Water 
1 cup  or more [to cook sago]
நீர்
Milk 
1 tbsp
பால்
Saffron
5 strands
குங்குமப்பூ
Cardamom
2 crushed
ஏலக்காய்
Ghee
1 tsp
நெய்
Dry nuts [ Cashew and almonds]
4 each chopped into small pieces
உலர் பருப்புகள்
 [முந்திரி மற்றும்
 பாதாம்]
Method

Soak saffron in 1 tbsp milk and keep aside.
Soak sago in water for 30 minutes. It helps to cook sago faster.
Now heat pan on your stove, add soaked sago with 1 cup water.
Cook for 10 minutes or more it they are soft and transparent.
Add condensed milk and mix well.



Add crushed cardamom,mango puree and give a mix.
Reduce flame to medium and cook for 5 minutes.
Meanwhile in another seasoning pan, add ghee, once it melts, add dry nuts[ Cashews and almonds]

Fry till golden brown and transfer it into sago pudding.
Add saffron milk and mix all of once again well and switch off the flame.
You may either serve them warmed or chilled .

























You could add scoop of vanilla ice cream while serving chilled to make it more 
special and delicious.
